Vocational Expert Services for Workers’ Compensation Cases

When a worker is injured on the job, our vocational assessment can identify employment barriers, consider loss of wage-earning capacity, and provide a detailed plan to help the individual return to suitable employment when possible.

In addition, we provide Expert Testimony for Workers’ Compensation cases with opinions about an individual’s capacity for work. We also perform labor market surveys to determine any lost earnings as well as provide reemployment services to help injured workers access reasonable work accommodations or find more suitable return-to-work options.

Reemployment Services

Reemployment services help an injured worker return to work. These services are usually needed when a work-related injury or illness prevents a worker from returning to their usual line of work. Reemployment services may include a vocational evaluation, vocational counseling, transferable skills analysis, selective job placement, training, and education. In addition, we provide other services deemed necessary and appropriate to help an injured worker return to work. A worker must meet a minimum set of criteria to be considered eligible.

Labor Market Survey (LMS)

A Labor Market Survey provides information about a local labor market. This can include but is not limited to, the existence of specific jobs that would be appropriate for the individual based on their vocational profile. Labor Market Surveys are specific to each individual, as data is collected based on an individual’s work experience, education and/or training, and residual functional capacity (RFC).
